Recommendation: For a Secure and Long-Lasting Installation – Use TIKAL TEF-GEL

To ensure maximum safety and longevity of your Spreader LED 6508 Series, we highly recommend using TIKAL TEF-GEL during installation.

Especially in harsh marine environments, where salt air and fluctuating weather conditions pose constant challenges, galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals—such as stainless steel screws and aluminum housings—is a common issue. TIKAL TEF-GEL is the ideal solution:

  • Effectively prevents contact corrosion, e.g., between the included M5 AISI 316 stainless steel screws and the aluminum light housing.

  • Protects electrical connections from moisture and oxidation—essential for maintaining the long-term performance of the integrated LED system.

  • Easy to apply, highly efficient, and specially formulated for marine applications.

💡 Tip: Apply a thin layer of TEF-GEL to all screw threads and electrical contacts during installation. This significantly enhances the lifespan of your spreader light setup and prevents damage caused by electrolytic reactions.
